Pilimon Connect Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Pilimon Connect is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun).
The short version
- Pilimon Connect is a dating app for PLMun students who are 18 or older. It is run by one person, not by the school and not by a company.
- You sign up with your
@plmun.edu.phemail. That only shows you can open that mailbox. We do not check your ID or your age.- Be real, be respectful, and follow the Community Guidelines. Lying about your age gets you banned for good.
- Chatting with your matches is always free. Plus is an optional paid subscription that renews automatically until you cancel.
- Messages are stored on our server. Moderators only see messages that someone attaches to a report.
- We do not run background checks and we cannot promise any date will be safe. Read the Safety Tips.
- You can pause or delete your account any time in Settings.

1. Who runs Pilimon Connect
Pilimon Connect is run by its founder as an individual, based in the Philippines ("we", "us", "the operator"). Pilimon Connect is the name of the service. It is not a registered business, corporation, or partnership. The operator is personally responsible for running Pilimon Connect.
Contact address: Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, Philippines Email: [email protected]
Pilimon Connect is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun). We mention PLMun only to describe who can sign up. The school has not reviewed or approved Pilimon Connect.
2. Agreeing to these Terms
By creating an account or using Pilimon Connect, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Community Guidelines, and, if you buy Plus, the Subscription and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Pilimon Connect.
3. Who can use Pilimon Connect
You can use Pilimon Connect only if all of these are true:
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You control a working email address ending in
@plmun.edu.ph(your "campus email"). - You are not banned from Pilimon Connect.
- You can legally agree to these Terms.
One person, one account. You may have only one Pilimon Connect account. Do not make a new account while your account is suspended or after it is banned.
What we check, and what we don't.
- At sign-up we send a one-time code to your campus email. Entering it shows you could open that mailbox at that moment. That is the only check we do.
- We do not verify your identity, your student status, or your age. We do not collect student IDs, government IDs, or selfies.
- You tell us your birthdate and confirm: "I confirm I am 18 or older; false age is grounds for a permanent ban." If you are under 18, you cannot sign up. If we learn that you are under 18, or that you gave a false age, we will ban your account permanently.
- The only badge on Pilimon Connect is "PLMun email confirmed". It means what it says and nothing more.
Yearly re-confirmation. Each school year starts on 1 August (Philippine time). From that day, the app asks you to enter a fresh code sent to your campus email. Any sign-in with a code on or after 1 August counts. If you have not done this by the end of 30 August, your profile is paused until you do. If your campus mailbox is closed (for example, after you graduate), you will not be able to re-confirm, and your profile will stay paused. If you have Plus when this happens, it is cancelled at the end of your current paid period and we tell you why.
4. Your account
- Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your campus email. Do not share your codes or your mailbox with anyone.
- You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Do not create an account for someone else, and do not sell, give away, or transfer your account.
5. Your profile and photos
What other students see. Your first name, your age (never your birthdate), your course and year, your bio (up to 200 characters), up to 5 interests, and 2 to 6 photos. Your gender is shown only if "Show my gender on my profile" is on (it is on by default; you can turn it off). Your "Show me" preference is never shown to anyone.
Your photos must be real photos of you. Your first photo must clearly show your face. Your profile does not appear to others until at least 2 photos are live.
Photo screening. Every photo you upload goes through an automatic check on our own server before anyone else can see it:
- We re-save the image and remove hidden data such as location (EXIF metadata).
- A nudity classifier checks the image.
- A face detector checks your first photo.
Clearly explicit photos are rejected and you are told why. Photos the system is unsure about are held "In review" and are visible only to you until a moderator decides. Clean photos go live. The system can make mistakes in both directions. A rejected photo is deleted right away, so we cannot check it again later. You can upload a different photo. If you think your photos are being rejected by mistake, email [email protected] and a person will look into it.
Your content stays yours. You keep ownership of your photos, bio, and messages. You give us permission to store, process, resize, blur (for the Likes preview), and show your content to other students inside Pilimon Connect, only as needed to run the service. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we keep under the Privacy Policy (for example, report evidence). This permission is non-exclusive and free of charge. We cannot sell it or pass it on, except to the hosting provider that stores content for us. We do not use your content in ads or marketing, and we do not use it to train any model.
You must have the right to post what you post. Do not upload photos of other people without their permission, or anything you do not have the right to share.
6. Matching, likes, and privacy controls
- You can like, pass, or super like other profiles. A match happens only when two people have liked each other.
- Passes are never limited. Free accounts have a daily like limit and a weekly super-like limit (see section 10).
- Your gender and "Show me" preference are used only on our server to decide which profiles you see and who sees you. We need your separate consent to use them. If you withdraw that consent, your profile is paused from discovery, because matching cannot work without it.
- Privacy mode ("Only show me to people I've liked") is a Pilimon Connect+ feature: you can browse but appear in someone's deck only after liking them. Plus is coming soon and new purchases are disabled. Losing Plus never silently makes an existing private profile public; matching pauses until you turn privacy mode off.
- Pause my profile is free and works in both directions: you are hidden from Discover and cannot browse or like new people until you resume. Existing matches and chats remain available, subject to account restrictions.
- We do not promise you any number of matches, likes, or dates.
7. Messages
- You can chat with your matches for free, without limits. Messaging is never behind a paywall.
- Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are stored on our server. Only you and your match can read your conversation in the app.
- Moderators cannot read your chats. They see messages only when someone reports a conversation. A report from a chat attaches a copy of the last 50 messages of that conversation (with sender and time). The person reporting is shown which messages are shared before they send the report.
- If you unmatch or block someone, the conversation becomes read-only. If the other person deletes their account, you will see "This user left" and their messages are removed.
8. Date plans
- Inside a match, either of you can propose a date plan. It stays "proposed" until the other person accepts, declines, or suggests a new time. Nothing is accepted automatically.
- Suggested spots are public places. You can also type your own place.
- "Share my date plan" uses your phone's share menu (or copies text) to send your match's first name, the place, and the time to someone you choose. We do not create a public page or a stored link.
- In the 24 hours before an accepted date, the Dates screen shows a reminder with safety tips and the emergency hotline 911.
- Pilimon Connect does not arrange, supervise, or monitor dates. There is no automatic check-in or alert to your contacts. You are responsible for your own decisions when meeting someone. See the Safety Tips.
- Date spot suggestions are free ideas. They are not ads and no place pays to be listed.
9. Reports, blocks, and moderation
- Block hides you and the other person from each other everywhere, right away.
- Report someone from their profile card (no messages attached) or from a chat (the last 50 messages are attached, as described in section 7). Report reasons include "Under 18" and "Fake profile / not who they say".
- Report after a date stays available for 90 days after the date, even if you unmatched or blocked the person.
- An "Under 18" report hides the reported profile from discovery right away while a moderator reviews it. The moderator may ban the account or ask for proof of age. Proof of age is handled only by the operator, by email from [email protected]. You show a government ID or school record with only your name, photo, and birthdate visible. We record only the result and the date, and we delete the image and the email within 7 days of the decision. The profile stays hidden while we wait. If there is no reply within 30 days, the account is banned.
- Moderators are people chosen by the operator. They review reports and held photos. They can warn, suspend, or ban accounts, and they record a reason. Usually a first minor problem gets a warning, a repeated or more serious problem gets a suspension, and serious or repeated violations get a ban. Some violations lead straight to a permanent ban (see the Community Guidelines).
- Only the operator can add or remove moderators. Moderators see the reported profile, its photos (blurred until they reveal each one), reports, and report evidence. They never see your email address, cannot read your chats, and cannot delete accounts. Each moderator agrees in writing to keep what they see confidential.
- Suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation material is removed, preserved as evidence, and reported to the authorities as required by Republic Act No. 11930 (Anti-OSAEC and Anti-CSAEM Act). The account is banned.
- Appeals. If you think a moderation decision was wrong, email [email protected] from your campus email within 30 days of the decision. A person reviews it, if possible someone other than the person who decided, and we reply within 14 days.
10. Plus subscription
Plus is optional. It is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Polar (Polar.sh), which is the Merchant of Record and seller of record for every Plus purchase. The full rules are in the Subscription and Refund Policy. In short:
- Plans are weekly, monthly, and semester, priced in Philippine pesos (PHP). Before you pay, the plan screen shows the price, how often you are billed, that it renews automatically until you cancel, and how to cancel.
- Payment happens on Polar's checkout page. Polar's own terms apply to the payment.
- You cancel through Polar's customer portal (linked from your Profile). Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Deleting your account ends your subscription and your Plus right away.
- Refunds: you can get a full refund if you ask within 7 days of your first Plus payment, or within 3 days of an automatic renewal. Other charges are not refunded, except when Plus did not work because of us, when you delete your account (the unused part of a monthly or semester plan), or when the law requires it.
| Feature | Free | Plus |
|---|---|---|
| Likes per day | 25 (resets at 12:00 a.m. Philippine time) | Unlimited |
| Passes | Unlimited, never counted | Unlimited |
| Super likes | 1 per week | 5 per week |
| Who liked you | Count + blurred previews | Full profiles |
| Undo last swipe | No | Yes |
| Filters | Age, course | Age, course, year, recently active |
| Chat with matches | Unlimited, always free | Same |
Plus features are digital features inside Pilimon Connect only. Plus does not buy any physical item or human service, and it does not change how moderation treats you.
11. No fake activity
We do not use fake profiles, bots, automatic replies, seeded likes, or automatically accepted dates. Every profile, like, message, and date plan you see comes from a real account. If you believe a profile is fake, please report it.
12. Pausing and deleting your account
- Pause profile hides you from discovery. Nothing is deleted. Your profile is also paused if you miss yearly re-confirmation or withdraw consent for gender and preference processing.
- Download my data gives you a copy of your profile, photos, likes, matches, and the messages you sent.
- Delete account (Profile → Settings) asks you to enter a fresh email code. If you have Plus, the app tells you before you confirm that your subscription will end, and links to the refund rules. Then:
- right away: your profile is hidden everywhere, you are signed out on all devices, and any active Plus subscription is ended;
- within 30 days: your profile, photos, likes, passes, matches, blocks you made, date plans, and messages you sent are permanently deleted.
- Some records are kept after deletion for safety and legal reasons (for example, report evidence, and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your campus email if you were banned). The Privacy Policy lists them and how long they are kept.
13. Things outside our control
- Your campus email. PLMun runs the
@plmun.edu.phemail system. We have no agreement with the school. The school could restrict its email system or object to Pilimon Connect. If that happens, sign-up, sign-in, or re-confirmation may stop working, and we may have to change or close Pilimon Connect. - Polar handles all payments. If Polar stops supporting Pilimon Connect, Plus may be paused or ended. Polar may refund affected customers under its own policies.
- Your device and browser. Pilimon Connect is a web app you can add to your Home Screen. Notifications depend on your browser and phone settings (on iPhone, iOS 16.4 or later with Pilimon Connect added to the Home Screen).
- Other users. We are not responsible for what other students say or do, on or off Pilimon Connect.
14. Disclaimers and limits on liability
Pilimon Connect is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every harmful user or photo will be caught.
As far as Philippine law allows:
- We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost opportunities or hurt feelings caused by other users.
- Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid for Plus in the 12 months before the claim, or ₱1,000, whichever is higher.
- These limits do not apply to fraud, bad faith, gross negligence, harm caused by unlawful processing of your personal data, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Philippine law that cannot be waived, including your rights under Republic Act No. 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines), Republic Act No. 11967 (Internet Transactions Act of 2023), and Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012).
15. Ending your access
- You can stop using Pilimon Connect and delete your account at any time.
- We may warn, suspend, or ban your account if you break these Terms or the Community Guidelines, if we must do so by law, or to protect other users. Giving a false age leads to a permanent ban.
- If your account is banned, we keep a hashed copy of your campus email so the account cannot be re-created.
- Plus during a suspension or ban. While your account is suspended, you cannot use Plus, and your subscription keeps renewing unless it is cancelled. Email [email protected] and we will cancel it for you. If your account is banned, we cancel your subscription so it does not renew. We do not refund the current period of a suspended or banned account, unless the decision is reversed (then we refund the time you lost) or the law requires it.
16. Changes to Pilimon Connect and to these Terms
We may change Pilimon Connect's features. We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date above. For important changes, we tell you in the app at least 15 days before they take effect. Changes needed to follow the law or to protect users may take effect sooner. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account before it takes effect.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
If you have a problem with Pilimon Connect, email us first. We will try to solve it within 30 days. If we cannot, any court case will be filed in the proper courts of Muntinlupa City, Philippines. This does not stop you from going to a government agency, such as the Department of Trade and Industry for consumer complaints or the National Privacy Commission for privacy complaints.
